Lithuanian intelligence has revealed the ways in which KGB recruits Lithuanians in Belarus. In particular, KGB sends women to Lithuanians who have sexual relations with them, and then blackmails foreigners with compromising photos and thus forces them to cooperate.
“Not Free”: Freedom House presented its annual report. The authors note that elections in the country are openly rigged, and civil liberties are severely restricted. Freedom House gave Belarus only 11 points out of 100 possible on the freedom scale. More at Freedom House.
